Privacy Policy
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store passwords in plain text). We also record your subscription tier and status.
Billing & contact information
When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects the information needed to complete and support your purchase, which may include your name, phone number, and billing address, along with your payment details. Your full card number is handled by Stripe and is never seen or stored by us. We use this contact and billing information to process payments, prevent fraud, provide receipts and support, and meet tax and record-keeping obligations.
Usage & analytics
We collect anonymous usage data (pages viewed, tools used, and general traffic sources) to understand what's useful and improve the product. This is handled in part through Google Analytics.
Email signups
If you join our newsletter or early-access list, we store the email address you provide and where you signed up from.
How we use your information
- To provide and maintain your account and subscription
- To process payments and provide receipts, and to prevent fraud
- To contact you about your account, purchases, or support requests
- To send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, billing notices)
- To send newsletters and product updates you've opted into (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To understand usage and improve our tools and content
- To meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse or technical issues
Third-party services
We share the minimum data necessary with trusted providers who help us operate:
- Stripe: processes subscription payments and collects your name, phone number, billing address, and card details at checkout. Card details are handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Resend: delivers our transactional email.
- Klaviyo: manages newsletter and marketing email for subscribers who opt in.
- Google Analytics: provides aggregate, anonymized usage analytics.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure anonymous analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect sign-in and some features.
Affiliate links
Some gear guides contain affiliate links (including the Amazon Associates program). If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links may set cookies controlled by the retailer, governed by that retailer's own privacy policy.
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we will delete or anonymize it, except where we must retain records to comply with legal or financial obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of marketing. To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected] and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to notify you of any material breach as required by law.
Children's privacy
Titan Audio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
